urban bungalow
This beautiful 1930's three bedroom bungalow received an amazing transformation through a minor renovation to create an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area. Creating light, space and function, this family is now living in a way they couldn't before, entertaining and enjoying their home.

It was essential to retain the homes character, especially in the entrance/hall. I don't usually hesitate to paint out heavy panelled wood but in this instance, I chose to keep it, highlighting and accenting with white furniture and art. The classic axminster carpet runner compliments the period of the house and colour scheme.

The kithen has a clean, white modern style with a large entertainers island.

To create a 'Raffles Singapore' nod and bringing a classic feel, features and accessoried were added; Chinoiserie wallpaper, oriental wallhanging, crossback rattan bar stools, potted palms, cut glass pendant lights, antique crystal and silver drinks service, bespoke chesterfield couch and ottoman.
traditional villa
A villa is often an ongoing love affair, starting as a labour of love if a big renovation is required to bring functionality into modern times. It was exactly that situation for this 1910 villa. A large open plan kitchen, dining and living area was created to accommodate modern family living.
The large kitchen benefited with high custom cabinetry in black stained american oak, taking advantage of the 12 ft stud ceilings. Classic profile doors, white porcelain/antiqued silver handles, Perrin & Rowe kitchen tapware, batton ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers all enhance the character of the villa.

The hall is accented with: dado railing, the bottom section painted in a pale grey. Large antique mirror bell jar lantern lighting. Traditional, rustic furnture pieces run throughout the home.

Taxidermy pheasant
two bedroom unit
This is an excellent example of how a lick of paint, a good clean and declutter and a lot of elbow grease can make a massive difference to the presentation of a property.

This two bedroom unit was previously rented. The owner had the option of selling as is, or, getting it to a presentable level. The second option was chosen and for a 1% investment of the total sale price, an incredible transformation was achieved.

Would the the sale price have been achieved if sold in the orginal state? I'm not so sure... Have a look at the before and after pictures here and you decide.
